A 48-year-old man was fatally shot on a Brooklyn street corner, police said.
The victim was blasted in the chest around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of Powell St. and Belmont Ave., cops said, just steps away from the Seth Low Houses development in Brownsville.
Medics took him to Brookdale Medical Center, but he couldn’t be saved.
Cops have made no arrests.
The killing comes amid a major downturn in homicides in Brooklyn’s 73rd Precinct, which saw six other slayings this year compared to 20 in the same timeframe in 2024.
